Dipy Week #58 ~ Music

music.jpg

The great thing about music is that there are so many different kinds and it is open to so many different interpretations. Kimberly’s interpretation is there on top, and mine is on bottom this week. We are hearing a lot of this piece in our house and this week in piano, the girls were introduced to the damper pedal. Oh…the excitement! The love for the piano has not dwindled in the house, which makes me so very happy – even if I do walk around singing little French songs in my head all day long.

Dipy Week #57 ~ Upside Down

upsidedown.jpg

After a brief break, we have joined back in with the Team-Up Thursday group in the Upside Down theme today. I’m feeling a little like our life is upside down right now, but it is kind of hard to photograph that. Instead I caught Em in a very common pose around here lately…with her nose in a book, not that I’m complaining! And Kimberly caught a couple of topsy-turvy bedfellows as well!

Dipy Week #56 ~ Tuesday. 11:33am.

So what are two of your favorite (;-) bloggers doing on a random Tuesday morning at 11:33am?

1133.jpg

Shoot whatever you are doing at 11:33am on Tuesday. That was our theme this week. And as you can see it is mostly “business as usual” with Kimberly, the dedicated blog Goddess that she is. And at our house on Tuesday (and really all week long) it has been cookies, Cookies, COOKIES! At 11:33am on Tuesday I was boxing up the cookies to ship to our Michigan folks, so maybe, just maaaybe, they will be there in time for the weekend!

See what the rest of our lovely ladies are up to today over at…

Dipy Week #53 ~ Behind

behind.jpg

How very appropriate that Kimberly and I played along with BEHIND as the theme for this week since we are both clearly behind on life right now. I love that we both picked two of our favorite behinds to feature…and neither of us were brave enough to do our own.

Mine is the view I’ve had of Em since she started piano lessons this week. She is nothing if not persistent. When she puts her mind to something she is determined to finish it. Ad is also taking lessons and told me that “we need two pianos so Emma and I can practice together.”  Hmmm…dueling pianos. THAT wouldn’t push me over the edge.

Dipy Week #52 ~ Stacked

Dipy Week #52 ~ Stacked

Week 52! We have made it a year doing this little Team Up Thursday. This week’s theme is Stacked and when I first thought about it, I couldn’t stop thinking about the girls’ current obsession. Barbies. Every time I help put a new outfit on one of the zillion Barbies we seem to have accumulated I think to myself, “Man, these dumb dolls are STACKED!”

But instead I went our favorite game these days – Rat-a-tat-cat. Addie got it for Christmas and you can usually find the game cards Stacked somewhere around our house.

Although I admit I wouldn’t mind having more of the kind of stacks my friend Kimberly has lying around the house…

Dipy Week #50 ~ All in a Row

Dipy Week #50 ~ All in a Row

Well, if you followed Kimberly the past few weeks you probably know that the shot on the bottom is definitely not hers! I need to take photos of my favorite palm-tree lined street when I get blue about living in California with the high real estate prices and living on the other side of the country from our family. And I take a look at that photo and remember, “Oh, yes. That is just one of the reasons I love living here.”

As for K’s, IN A ROW? I have no earthly idea what she has going on there. I’m heading over to figure it out.
