Dipy Week #58 ~ Music

music.jpg

The great thing about music is that there are so many different kinds and it is open to so many different interpretations. Kimberly’s interpretation is there on top, and mine is on bottom this week. We are hearing a lot of this piece in our house and this week in piano, the girls were introduced to the damper pedal. Oh…the excitement! The love for the piano has not dwindled in the house, which makes me so very happy – even if I do walk around singing little French songs in my head all day long.

  1. That’s awesome that they are still enjoying piano. I always wanted to learn how to play when I was growing up.

  2. I used to play that song OVER AND OVER AND OVER again when I was learning piano.

And now I have it stuck in my head….

  3. So happy to hear that they are both still interested in the piano. Believe it or not, I am going out to buy a metronome so I can go back to my piano lesson days when I should have appreciated it more than I did.

  4. Aunt V. – Believe it or not I have a metronome on my iPhone. It is so cool and Em is just getting to the point of needing one to keep her on beat. The piano lessons are good for me, too. I’m learning along with the girls and loving it. I wish I had piano lessons when I was a kid – I think it is good on many levels and easier to learn with a 5 year old brain than a nearly 39 year old one!

  5. I took piano lessons for a year in high school, and quickly burned out on it. I think it’s awesome to get them started young. I’d love to know how to play now.
