This pic was actually from two weeks ago. I didn’t take many photos last week (I KNOW! SHOCKING!), so I thought I’d use this one. I love this picture because despite all of her growth and developments lately, A. still looks like a sweet little baby to me…not a terrorizing toddler!

I took today’s “Best Shot Monday” pic yesterday after mass while I was trying to coax A. inside to take her Easter attire off. But, she just wanted to “sweeeeng! (Just imagine her saying “swing” in a little high-pitched, insistent voice). That pure look of stubbornness on her face has been seen pretty frequently around these parts lately.
I haven’t really had much time to snap many photos this past week with the impending move. I did however catch the girls reading…in the middle of all of the packing going on, they were sitting on E.’s torn apart bed each reading their own separate book.
(Look at those monkey toes!)
I love that they are so adaptable and (so far) unaffected by the craziness around them. For other Best Shot Monday photos, visit Tracey at Picture This. It is a fun and inspiring way to spend an hour or two!
This is my Best Shot Monday for this week. Addie loves “flying” with Daddy. He throws her much higher than Mommy does. The minute she comes down she does her little sign and says “Mohwr??” (More?!)

I had a couple of favorites this week – most of them I used on Addie’s 18-month letter, but I’ll use this one for Best Shot Monday. This is our favorite pasttime at the park…rearranging the wood chips!
Today is a double treat! I have both a picture for Picture This‘ Best Shot Monday and a video from Emma Gracie’s dance recital this past weekend.
You all are going to think that I only take pictures of the girls in the bathtub, I don’t. However, bathtime is always at the end of the day, and they are all relaxed and looking cute. And if I haven’t taken any pics of them on that particular day, it just seems like a good time to get some shots. This week’s is of Em since I’ve done Addie the past two weeks.
I think I keep getting all hung up on getting a perfect shot for the Best Shot Monday – when really I just want to start making sure I capture as much of our everyday life as I can. In this pic I really love the colors in the shower curtain (that she is peeking out around) and that it is not a posed “smile” picture like so many are when she sees the camera…
And the video is below. The ballerinas were all little Ariels, (the Little Mermaid). She did a terrific job. I was amazed again at how great she listened to Miss Claire and knew the dance. She is quite a bella ballerina!
(Technical note: Mommy made sure the video camera was charged…however it was at the end of the tape. Bah! So J. videoed the whole recital on his little camera. It did a pretty great job, but you can’t zoom in, so…she is the 2nd one from the end on the left, in case you can’t really see her all that well! You can also see up close pics in the flickr account.)
So today’s “best shot” isn’t any great genius photographic shot. I was taking pictures of the girls in their new swimsuits (so cute and $6 each on clearance! Thank yooouuu, Old Navy!) and told Addie that I could see her bee-bo (belly button, you will understand if you are a Sandra Boynton fan…) and here she was checking to see if her bee-bo was still there, and the pic after is my “best shot Monday” pic. I just love her expression. Well, and her plump, sweet toddler thighs….*sigh.*
As always you can see the other shots on Flickr. Happy Monday, everyone!
