How do we get the candy? ~ Best Shot Monday

Technically, this was a horrible shot. That was indeed a very plaid sofa behind the girls. So I tried to tone down the colors by editing the photo and making it black & white. Plus the lighting wasn’t so great and it was what I imagine it would be like to be a member of the paparazzi at a Hollywood movie premier, with about ten moms and dads jockeying for position, trying to take photos, flashes going off left and right.

But all of that aside, I cannot stop looking at this photo and just smiling. My two princesses, (it was a Princess-themed birthday party for Addie’s little friend) anxiously waiting for someone to just bust open that pinata!

Such concentration and seriousness! How can it not be my Best Shot Monday for today?

  1. Mia’s just now kind of getting into the princess stuff…she’s starting with Tinkerbell..not that she’s a princess, but along the same lines.

It’s a GREAT b&w shot and a great way to tone down a very plaid sofa :)

  2. Not too bad an image, for sure! And you’ve got a memory attached to it. I think it’s a great MBS! My M would have been as far away from the action as possible if a pinata was concerned. She doesn’t get it quite yet. She will not dive for candy. NO MATTER WHAT.

  3. Too funny! They are so cute just waiting. We had a party with a pinata the other week, but Harrison missed it because I had to remove from the party early. Ugh. The life of a spirited preschooler. Not always easy.

  4. I love Ad’s expression here. She looks like she is really calculating how she is gonna get some of that candy. They are both adorable all princessed up. sounds like a fun party!
