The Future Is So Bright…

…we had to wear shades in sunny California yesterday. Unfortunately, the future was not looking so bright for our beloved Cubbies.

It was Addie’s first Cubs game (on the outside at least, she attended a few safely tucked away in my tummy before she made her grand appearance). Maybe if it had been at Wrigley the Cubbies would have won for Addison. (For crying out loud, she is named after one of the streets your stadium sits on – you can’t give her a win for her first game?)

At any rate…we got a lot of fun pictures, ate a lot of hotdogs and peanuts, and had a good time. My Best Shot Monday is here…along with a couple of other ones just for fun! Make sure to check out other fun photos at Picture This today.

A.’s surprise after the Cubs, got their third out, leaving the bases loaded.

And finally, it was not only A.’s first Cubs game, it was also our first foray into pigtails. Behold the teeny, tiny little curly pigtails. They lasted til about the 6th inning…not too bad, I’d say.

  1. That’s our Cubbies for ya! Figures. I’d be putting those pigtails in all the time. They’re adorable! I liked the pictures of Em too. Checked them all out earler on flickr. Better luck next time with those Cubs.

  2. I love the shocked look! That’s adorable. And what cute little pig tails. Simply adorable! Hope you had an awesome weekend.

  3. Now you are some hardcore fans, naming your daughter for the street where your beloved stadium sits! My Dad grew up in Chicago and is a fan, too.

Such a great expression in the middle shot! Superb capture. I love the piggy tails, too, and am impressed they stayed in that long.

  4. I love the look on her face. You must just sit there with your camera constantly taking pictures every 3 seconds because you capture some great moments!
