Crafty Tuesday

I had such good intentions this weekend, I even had a few hours off, but alas I was only able to complete one layout for our Crafty Tuesday. I have decided that I am going to try to tackle the “big events” of 2007 and 2008 (oh, and maybe a few from 2006, too) and get them done before summer is over. I’m talking Christmases, Birthdays, maybe some vacations.

I think this one falls into my “big event” criteria…a layout focused on Em’s year of preschool.

I wanted to make sure that I got her first “class photo” archived. (Obviously I blurred out the photo – it is actually a pretty good photo – but I don’t have everyone’s permission to post their photos.)

I was inspired by some school-type embellishments that I got recently. I love the notebook paper and I used one of the library cards and tucked it behind the photo with the names of the kids so we would remember who they were, looking back.

Hidden craftiness

So that is all I have for the week. Do you have anything good? Leave a comment so we can come visit you, too.

  1. Now, THAT is a gorgeous scrap book page.

I have about a million pictures waiting to be put in books…and with each passing day I think I’m closer to just slappin’ them into some generic photo albums.

Oh, well. At least I documented the events by taking pictures!

I love your Crafty Tuesday! Especially those cards from a couple weeks ago…that’s really my thing…paper crafts and making cards, invitations, etc.

  2. That library card is such a good idea and so cute! I love this page, and that is a good idea to get the big events scrapped.

I have some drawing and photoshopping that I did over at my place today.

  3. Inquiring Papas want to know, how come “Henry” has a heart by his name??

Is this where I add something about like Mother like Daughter??

    Love,
    Dad

  4. Papa – The heart by Henry was because your granddaughter, when she was helping me remember all of the kids’ names said, “Oh…Henry! He was my boyfriend, remember Mama?” I figured if I put the little heart it would remind us years from now who her preschool crush was.

Christina – I am certain I ripped the idea off from someone else, so don’t give me all the credit! :-)

  5. as usual, i love your craftiness. maybe if i concentrated on the BIG events I could get more done.

  6. Cool layout. I like the class list idea – very handy.
I actually made some thank you notes yesterday, but haven’t gotten them posted. Maybe next week.
