Ring Around Our Rosey

Maybe it is because of one of her (many) nicknames, “Rosey Toes,” but Addie is infatuated with Ring Around the Rosey (or is it Rosie, or Rosy?) right now.

Talking Em into playing with her…

  1. Ring around the Rosey is the best! That and Duck, Duck, Goose. I love how your girls are the best of friends, I hope it stays that way.

  2. That is so much cuter than my kids’ version. They walk in circles in the middle of the living room (no hand holding just around and around) while chanting “ashes. aaassshhhesss. aaassshhheess.” I’m going to show them these pictures and see if we can’t back to the old fashion version.

I love how the movement really comes through in these photos!

  3. It must be the age, as Nadia is quite into Ring around the Rosey lately, too. Especially she falling down part. It’s one of those times that makes me wish she had a sibling…
The third little girl looks a lot like Emma!

  4. A. “Rosey” is a great spelling for Ring Around the Rosey.

    B. Harrison was just singing that this morning as he jumped on the bed which leads me to believe he would very happily engage in it with Em.

    C. No C, unless to say hope to see you soon!

  5. Just a quickie here. What words do you say? We say
    Ring around the Rosey
    A pocket full of posy
    A-tishoo
    A-tishoo
    We all fall down.

It’s a reference to the great plague apparently where they used to carry scented herbs to ward off the ‘bad air’ believed to bring The Plague.
