This is pretty much where we can find Gracie these days – at the piano.
Usually I just see the back of her head, but I love this look when I do catch a glimpse of her face and she is trying to figure out a new piece. Her Wicked music book arrived on Friday evening and she immediately sat down with pure joy at the possibility of learning a new piece. She is practicing for an Instrument Recital coming up at school, and her piano teacher asked if she would play at the Shrove Tuesday celebration at church in a few weeks, too. I’m just living vicariously (and a little in awe) through her since she has already far surpassed any “plunking” I can do on the piano.
I have no musical talent whatsoever so I am always in awe of those who can sing or play an instrument. I love her focused look.
I SO agree with your mom — that is you all over again! Uncle Dick says that about every picture of her. Glad she feels well enough again — and happy that she is excited about playing the piano!
Reminds me that I have to get Harrison’s piano lessons started! I’m so jealous that you got to see Wicked! It was just the wrong time of year for us. 🙁

I also already have a Crafty Tuesday post scheduled. (I know – don’t faint!) But it’s really more about Harrison’s room re-decoration (finally), as opposed to something I made, which will come soon.

Good for her! I always wanted to learn the piano, but that would require “time” of which I have few spare minutes anymore. Love this shot of her. 🙂
