Crafty Tuesday

Hi there, crafty peeps! Hope you had a productive and creative week. It has been a wee bit busy over here. Obviously there is a  direct correlation with the amount of chaos in our life and the amount of blogging I do. Right now I am barely squeaking any blogging in, if you couldn’t tell.

Anywho….I do have some goodies to share.

Another little clutch, I think I’ve almost got them figured out. This springy green one (look at THIS green, JB!) is for my lovely friend Julie’s birthday.

I kind of feel like the proportions are off a little, but it fits an iPhone (speaking of which, did you SEE the new iPhone? Mama likes.) a lippystick and some cash – so I think it works.

Also I have been having fun with oilcloth and the cool chalkboard fabric – a little re-usable shopping bag.

And a lunchbag, too! I think that chalkboard stuff might come in handy on a few dozen projects I would like to try.

And a quick sneak of the other “chalkboard” obsession I currently have. Just a tease…

…the rest of the playroom/craftroom redo will be unveiled (hopefully!) next week. Until then…

  1. Whenever you post Crafty Tuesday, I am so thankful that I am NOT crafty! You set the bar so high. All of these bags are so cute and useful and crafty and so you! At the risk of repeating myself for the millionth time, you are one talented lady!!

  2. Wow Bean you have been busy. No wonder you haven’t had time to blog. Which I’ve missed :( Can’t wait to see the craft home.

  3. I have yet to work with oil cloth or chalkboard fabric, but it is on my to do list. You did a great job with all of your projects with them. Love the lunch bag with the chalkboard fabric on it. Great idea!

Can’t wait to see the room redo. I’m sure it will be fantastic!

I actually did get some sewing done and pictures taken. Finally. I’ve been in a crafty hiatus while we have been landscaping, but it’s been raining quite a bit here lately. Like today. Again.

  4. I have been toying around with the idea of recovering my kitchen chair cushions with oilcloth, but I am not sure how it would look and feel. Plus the options are very limited. I love the patterns you found. So cute. Where did you get the chalkboard pens? Those would have come in handy when I was labeling all my craft stuff. There are so many possibilities with that chalkbaord fabric. Can’t wait to see the craftroom.

I have a little refashion up today.

  5. I crafted!! (Okay now that you awoke from fainting and picked yourself up off the floor, check it out. I finally FINISHED something! Woot!

And there’s more for another crafty Tuesday, TSSS – I’m HOT baby! LOL

(like you, I barely squeeze in blogging lately)

  6. I got so excited at sharing my achievements that I forgot to comment on yours! Like, wow, I didn’t even know they made chalkboard fabric – cool! and I love the clutch, oooh the color!

I have a whole can of chalkboard paint that I’m dying to use one something else! I have ideas…just not space or freedom.

  7. Seriously, do you ever sleep woman? EVER? Great projects as always. Oilcloth and chalkboard fabric eh? Intriguing…

  8. Yep, I’m experiencing the inverse relationship between busyness and blogging too! Not much of that going on here. I don’t know how you manage ANY with all the awesome stuff you produce! Good golly, you are amazing. Love that bright cheerful green clutch! The one I made a few months ago has been in constant use and is showing signs of wear…I’d love to replace it! I agree that it’s a bit on the smallish side, but am not about to try and tweak a pattern myself! The oilcloth and chalkboard fabric – COOL! Can’t wait for the big unveiling…

  9. Carrie, those oilcloth bags are sweet! Let me know when you have time to get commissioned work because I’d love to have a few of the lunch bags for gifts. Seriously!! Can’t wait to see the playroom.
