We decided this week to turn the cameras over to the kids and see what they could come up with for our theme of Mom.
M: Hey Emma would you like to use Mama’s camera and shoot some photos this afternoon?
E: Sure! What do you want me to take pictures of?
M: Um…how about Mom?
E: Okay. Where should you be?
M: Well, where would you like me? What do you want me to be doing in your picture?
E: Um…can you do a hula hoop?
Yeaahhh. So Kimberly has a gorgeous portrait of her (see her down there?) shot by Bryce…her FOUR year old. And I get a crazy photo of me putting my hips into it. But, that’s what you get when you give up control, I guess.
I LOVE that idea. It’s going on my list. And I love the hula hoop pic. It’s truly representative of what Moms do everyday. And there’s surely nothing wrong with a little hippy hippy shake! Sweet dip, team.
Oh sweeet! Lovely shots from both kids but the hula hoop is a complete crack-up! LOVE the movement…and you are just glowing there mom!!!!
You both look great! The hula hoop is definitely a fun idea, too.
Great twist on the “Mom” theme. I think it is cute that Em wanted you to be hula hooping. I can tell you right now you look way more graceful than I would if I was hula hooping.
Cmon Carrie, fess up – we know you’re the hula hoop queen! Too funny that’s what Em directed for the photoshoot! this is such a fun theme idea, and Em and Bryce both did AWESOME!
What a wonderful thing…..I love love love the hula hoop shot. I mean seriously……that is a mom right there. ♥ thanks for the smile you gave me.
Hi! Haven’t been by in awhile….hope all is well with you guys.
Carrie, I love love love your photo! Look at Emma spreading those photographic wings!!! Such a perfect shot. And hey, fwiw, if I had hips that little I’d be happy to put them in the shot!
Can you believe that with the exception of a little vain skin smoothing, Bryce’ s shot is SOOC? I didn’t crop it or anything. Go Bryce!
i’m definitely doing this…although i’m a little frightened about what my boys will choose for my activity . love your hula hoop shot — a great pair!
I love them both! I can not do the hula-hoop even though I know I have the hips for it. Both kids did fabulous jobs and what a great theme!
Super fun! I bet the kids loved taking pictures of you guys. I dont let Ella touch my camera, so it would be like getting a big bowl of candy or something if she got to do that! :0)
Emma Grace is definitely your daughter…she wanted an action shot! And it turned out great – taking lessons from the best is clearly paying off already!
