Crafty Tuesday

So since most of last week was spent painting, I kinda blew my CT for today with that post on Friday. But I did finish up three other little projects that were totally bugging me.

Something to contain Em’s stuff on her new desk…

Something to contain all of my necklaces that are usually strewn about the bathroom…

…including my new one in the middle there, red coral straight from Hawaii! (Thanks Jeff & JB!)

I stole Not So Idle Hands‘ knockoff of the Pottery Barn frame idea. I just took an IKEA frame and added some cuphooks into it. Easy peasy. And it fits perfectly in this little blank bit of wall in our bathroom. And keeps my necklaces neat – and in sight…so maybe I will remember to wear them more often!

And my last CT submission wasn’t really bugging me, but a certain little girl was bugging me to get it finished.

Addie’s apron dress like Em’s I finished a few weeks ago…

Still messing with the actual pattern. I did elastic in Addie’s instead of pleats. I think it will be a better fit and grow with her a little better. She is anxious to wear it tomorrow, so I think she likes it!

I’m really behind on reading blogs, but I want to see some more goodies to keep me inspired, so let’s have ‘em!

  1. I am totally stealing the necklace frame idea. Since I have such short hair I’ve been trying to accessorize more so I don’t look quite so much like a boy and I have a few necklaces now and had no idea what to do with them. I also have a 2 and 1 year old. .. ’nuff said there. That’s like a $2 project and I totally love it!

  2. Adorable dress — even more adorable model! The elastic in the back makes a whole different look. Who ever would have thought that those antique(?) aprons could be used for anything so cute?! Love that necklace hanger — and that coral one from Hawaii is exquisite!

  3. She looks so cute in that apron dress! Great job!

Your necklace hanger is really nice, too. It shows off your pretty ones very well. :) Unfortunately, that wouldn’t work for my rather large collection of necklaces. ;)

I have some more sewing for me this week. :)

  4. Oh, Addie’s apron dress turned out perfectly. I love the bow in front and the elastic will definitely help it grow with her. You were all about gettin’ things done this week.

I have a couple of things up today too.

  5. I LOVE that apron dress! I think the bow is genius.
I also like that pretty red necklace :)

  6. Darn, I was really hoping to get in two weeks in a row but I’m shooting to show something next week. Holding my breath… love that necklace idea. Just might steal that for V’s bathroom!

  7. I’m way behind on my blog reading too, but it looks like you’ve had good reason. The pencil holders? So utterly darling. The necklace holder? Picture perfect. ;) Busy, busy, bee you!

  8. I was totally thinking that as I read Friday’s post…now what’s she going to do for Crafty Tuesday??? But yet you pulled it off once again with lots of cuteness. Love that necklace idea. The dress too!! Mayeb I’ll get back to CT one day…don’t know how you do it ALL!
