Dipy Week #12 ~ Spring

Dipy - Week #12

Spring is here! It is making a lovely appearance on both sides of the United States and whether you you are looking at it from afar (like Kimberly’s gorgeous shot) or up close (like my buzzy bee), you can just hear the buzzing hum of Spring.

  1. Hey, we ended up going with the same shot. Cool. :) So do tell, were you up close and personal with that bee or did you zoom in? Inquiring minds want to know. And have I told you how much I love that creamy background? :)

  2. I love the macro of the bee, I have such a hard time with focus on moving insects, how did you get that? I love the soft colors in Kimberly’s.

  3. Both definitely scream Spring. I think we may have skipped right over Spring and gone straight to Summer. I am lovin’ your bee shot. I am with Cara. I always have difficulty getting those insects in focus. Beautifully done.

  4. Holy cow, Carrie! That is totally the quintessential, perfect, classic spring shot. Fess up – did you really take that or did you steal it out of a coffee table book about spring??? ;) Truly awesome, and such focus!

  5. Ha! Yes (Christina)…I really did take it. I took like 40 shots of the crazy bees in our lemon tree yesterday. There are a lot of them, the tree actually sounds like it is humming. But (Cara) they seem to stay on a flower for a few seconds each – they kind of hover, so it is easier to stop motion on them. And I did get up and personal with the bees (Kimberly) they really were not paying any attention to me, and didn’t even mind the click-click-click!

  6. i do love this spring combo, the close up and the farther away view! great pair:). i don’t mind bees either, so i love that close up.

  7. Perfectly Spring! Fantastic job on the close up. Bees really don’t care much about you as long as you don’t handle them. I don’t know why but I love when a dip has one close up and one farther back like this one.

  8. I know I’m a week late, but am stopping in now. I love your duo. The bee is perfect, what a wonderful close up and I think it complements the mailbox surrounded by blooms nicely. :)
