And a very happy Tuesday to you all!
Hope you all got some time last week to get your craftiness on.
I had a tiny little bit of time, and made a ruffled skirt for Addie.
And I “fixed” one of Addie’s stained shirts, too. I did it after she went to bed, so she was pretty excited when she came down.
The ruffles are still a little bit off, lengthwise, but it sure is fun to guinea-pig on the girls.
And over the weekend we trekked to the flea market where I hit the mother lode at my linen lady’s booth. Look at all the lovely pillowcases I ran off with…
I will have dresses in the etsy shop soon! (I hope.)
AND, then…I also got some great vintage aprons from the same lady. She gave me a great deal on them…
And I have a great idea for them. We’ll see if it works out. Look at the sweet detail on the aprons…
Just imagine cute sundress-y sort of goodness from these. I’ll keep you posted.
How about it, my crafty friends? Have anything good to show today?
As if that skirt wasn’t too adorable to begin with — the shirt just makes it PERFECT!! Now that I know what you are looking for (i.e., old aprons & pillowcases), I will have to keep my eyes open here to see what I can find! It is as close to crafty as I will ever get — buying things for you to make into wonderful creations!
You sure did score on all those vintage goodies. I love Addie’s skirt and the “fixed” shirt. You can tell she loves them!!
I have a little something up today.
Love it – so cute! That little applique really helps to tie everything together, and yay for saving a shirt! I can’t see what you come it with from your flea market finds. Those pillowcases with the embroidery are really pretty. I really wish I could manage to go thrifting, but I never seem to find the time. Too busy sewing what I have, I guess.
Today I have some stuff I made for me. Next week I’ll be back to Anya, since I have made her a bunch of cute stuff in the past week. I had to stop a work in progress last night so I could make her a skirt for daycare today. I caved and bought some $3 long sleeve tees at Old Navy, since I just don’t take the time to make plain shirts. She was still wearing 3T’s and she is in 5T’s. I had to make her a skirt to match a pink one with pink hearts. It turned out pretty cute. That’s for next week, though. I even managed to get a picture of her before we went off to daycare this morning. A feat in itself, even when we don’t oversleep LOL!
very sweet outfit….and such lovely finds. Can’t wait to see what you make. I have not been crafty…..I’ve been sick. what a party pooper I am.
All of those pastels make me yearn for Spring! I don’t have anything sewn, or knit, but I did get my site up and running!!
So excited (and happy to be done!)
You hit the jackpot with your finds didn’t you? Doesn’t it make your pulse race just a bit faster when you find something like that?
Sweet save with the “fixer” shirt. And the skirt? Adorable. You have a knack for combining fabrics.
oooh, those pillow cases – suh-weet!!! What a score, Carrie! And the aprons are precious, too. Can’t wait to see what you create with those treasures. Addie’s outfit is darling, but not as darling as the girl – that second photo, oh my heart!
The picture of Addie is priceless and really shows her personality!
