Am I so Fancy, Mama? ~ Wordless Wednesday

Why use one, when you can use 6?

Mmmm…it might be hard to be wordless for this one. Addie came into the living room a few days ago and said, “Look, Mama! Am I so fancy? Just like Fancy Nancy?”

We checked out a Fancy Nancy book from the library, the first real one she has read. And now she is completely enamored with being fancy, especially since Fancy Nancy has a posh puppy, too! For the record, she would now like to be addressed as Fancy Nancy, not Addie.

Fancy

Little did I know, but after I took the photos and started taking the bows and barrettes out, she had managed to get eight of them on her head. That is pretty fancy!

  1. oh yes! i love it!

bean is a big fan of fancy nancy too. she has books and a fancy nancy purse and sunglasses (target carries fancy nancy dressup clothes). she is also hinting that she wants the fancy nancy doll (also target) but i don’t know. i mean, do we really need another doll that mommy has to change the clothes on?

good luck with your fancy girl! :)

  2. How about “Fancy Addie”?

My little first graders just love Fancy Nancy…and our librarian dressed like her when she read the book to them!

  3. LOL..that is too cute! I love hearing stories like this about little girls…especially knowing having one of my own is probably not going to happen (since I think I’m done with kiddos)…

And, on your comment about “nearly midnight and just now winding down”…I’m with you on that one too…I’d NEVER get anything done if I didn’t stay up until almost 1am every night!!

  4. So cute! Anya loves Fancy Nancy, too. I’m trying to figure out if I should have Santa bring her the $40 Fancy Nancy doll I saw at Target…and the matching outfit for her. Oh how I love the marketing machines! ;)

  5. How cute! That is fancy and I guess that would make me fancy too because Harrison brushed and put a ton of barrettes in my hair today! (No bows – we don’t own bows here – LOL!)

BTW, forgive my but I tagged you with an award meme. Stop by.

  6. Yes… a true Fancy Nancy.

We’ve been giving that book as birthday gifts to all the little girl friends. Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious.
