Crafty Tuesday

Check it – two weeks in a row that I have something for Crafty Tuesday! I’m psyched about these layouts, too. I really like them.

I was looking through Em’s baby scrapbook and one of the layouts I did for Em I called “A Year of Emma Grace” and I had scrapped a photo from each month of her first year. I liked ending the book like that, so I decided to do a similar one for Addie’s book.

This may be one of my favorite layouts of all time. I really love the paper (click it to see it up close) and of course it has some of my favorite baby Addie photos. So I’m very pleased with how that one turned out.

I also like the other one I did on Saturday night. The title reads “The Perfect Summer Day.” The photos are from one of our Sunday trips to the beach last summer. And now that it was almost 90 degrees here today, I’m hoping we get back to the beach…soon!

What sort of craftiness did you partake in this week?

  1. I don’t have anything to post – yet. The day is still young. Brian’s out of town for the week (til Sunday) so, I”m thinking that I might clear off the kitchen table and bring my stuff up here for the week…….

  2. I love the first layout’s paper. You did a beautiful job capturing her first year. And the second one really does look like the perfect summer day. I miss the beach.

  3. Love the layouts!!! You did a beautiful job on them. GO YOU CRAFTY GIRL. I, alas, have nothing crafty from this week…. I will be making a bunch of posters later for the show choir that is going to Nationals on Saturday! Does that count?

  4. I love those layouts! I really love the one year layout – it’s such a fantastic idea!

On a totally different note, the boys are napping and so I am watching Enchanted (it is sick that I am watching a Disney movie on my own, isn’t it?) and it’s making me feel very Cinderella. So I was thinking that I should ask if I can borrow one of Addie’s princess dresses…I feel like I should look the part! And she was getting all sorts of housework done in hers, so I figure maybe that’s the secret to getting things clean…

Too bad they don’t make those for adults!

  5. OH – the Easter Bunny brought Enchanted to us (we saw it in the theater as well) and we have watched it at least 2 times each day since Sunday. The girls were actually settling in to watch it when I left this afternoon!

I TOTALLY want a princess dress like that one!! Oh, and to be “rescued” by Patrick Dempsey…yeah, that is one movie I will never tire of!
And to have the “animals” help with the housework…I think Addie totally has the right idea with the whole princess thing!

  6. Those layouts are great! I need to steal that first one…such a good idea to end the book that way. The layout at the beach… *sigh*. It looks so WARM!

  7. Wow, you are seriously talented. Those layouts are FANTAB. Really fantab. I’m so behind on my scrapbooking that it eats at me! Excellent job!

  8. Dang girl, these are great layouts! I really love the flowerd paper for Addie’s first year and all your sweet little embellishments, but it’s the terrific photos that “make” it. I remember the beach bums!

I hear ya on the weather, too! we’ve been over 90 a few times already. No beach here, tho!
