Focus is today’s Theme Thursday.
“Please, focus here, Emma Grace! Concentrate. Listen up.”
I can’t tell you how many times a day/week/month I say this to Em. She has definitely fine-tuned her ability to block the sound of mom’s voice out. And I’m certain that I sound like the teacher from Charlie Brown to her.
“Wah wah wah waaah, wah wah, wah.”
Yesterday the focus was all on Em because we had her first parent-teacher conference.
I know she is a good girl, and she just pushes me because she can. But it was still good to hear that she is a great student. Her teacher said she is a joy to have in the class, very polite, attentive and always focused. And she never has to tell her anything twice.
She also appears to be in with the “in crowd” of girls at school. She is coming out of her “shell” and confident in both leading and following. I think she will be demanding the center of focus for a long time to come.
Focus up on some other great shots at Stacy’s new home for Theme Thursday.
Cute shot of her! Love her hat. Oh, I so hear you on the focus part of them listening. Kai is the same way, he completely tunes us out at times. Yay, for her doing so well at school, though. That’s great!
Tell Emma that we are SO proud of her! But it is not at all surprising. She has all the makings of a GREAT kid and a very wonderful adult someday. Love that picture! She is really the California Girl! But what happened to your “little” firstborn?! Those days are gone forever by the looks of that picture! Love to all of you.
Great photo! She’s adorable.
Funny how they don’t hear a word you say until you’re saying something you don’t want them to hear!
This is a great photo !
Nice hat ~ Silly Emma! Wouldn’t it be nice if they would be as attentive with us as they are with their teachers?
She is too cute!
And of course she is part of the ‘in’ crowd….I have a feeling that she MAKES the ‘in’ crowd!
love the photo — she looks so happy in that hat!
Another good take on “focus”! Ah – to live in the world of girls…it’s all about focusing on how you fit in. She’s not going to have any trouble with that!
Beautiful black and white. There’s nothing wrong with being the “focus” of the in crowd, good for her for being able to balance out all her different friends and still be the focus for everyone.
Oh, that is very cute.
A very cute photo!
How sweet is that! She’s a keeper, very beautiful!
Look how grown up she looks! (did I say that out loud? Sorry.)
I love the hat, I always wore them as a kid. Not so much anymore.
It’s the hair.
No, not that it gets messy…
Too much of it.
Rosana Rosanadana ring a bell?
How great to hear her teacher sing her praises! Of course, we already knew she’s an awesome kid. ;o)
Cute photo, love the hat!
