Nose to the Corner ~ Wordless Wednesday

(Okay, I can’t be completely Wordless on this one. This is Daddy’s discipline trick…the corner. I use the step. And yes, she definitely listens better to Daddy. But I can’t help but laugh when I see her stand in the corner…on her tippy toes, just waiting to be released. The giggling and taking photos probably isn’t sending the right message to her, is it now?)

  1. Yep, we use “the wall” too. Once the kids got older and wanted to play around…we used the “quarter on the wall”. Place a quarter between the nose and the wall. Hold it there. With your nose. Guaranteed they won’t be flopping their head around looking to see what the other siblings (or mom and dad) are doing. Makes them focus, think, and not play around while being disciplined. Funny story…the first time Austin had to hold the quarter, we told him, “Keep your nose on that quarter!” Imagine our surprise when we came back in the livingroom to see him face down on the floor, nose to the quarter. When we asked him why, he said he moved, it fell, and he remembered he was told not to take his nose off the quarter. So, he put it back on. 🙂 Silly boy! By the way, we don’t have to use “nose on the wall” very often now. They seem to have settled down (for now) around here. Good luck with your girls!
