I think I may be in the running for a Mother-of-the-Week award after today.
I had a conference call that was scheduled before my sitter was going to be here. So I did what any good mom would do. I bribed the girls with a movie and popcorn so that they would be quiet for 45 minutes.
Oh, did I mention? It was 10 o’clock. In the morning.
And then after that, I put them to work washing all of the dishes in the kitchen.
I’m expecting my award. Any day now.
Please don’t feel guilty, Care. We’ve all been there and done that (well at least this mommy has).
Be certain to include the photo of the kids doing the dishes when you submit that Mother of the Year application! tee hee
What a riot!
Is Addie actually licking the soap off that spoon — or is she just making sure everything is off the spoon before she puts it in all of those soap suds? Too cute!
LOL! Hey, they don’t look like they minded at all.
I think you deserve an award…for them staying there and keeping quiet!!!
Is that all you’ve made them do?
Sheesh… I’m afraid listing what Zoe goes through. hahaha
I don’t think that’s all that bad at all! It makes me worried to confess to what our days sometimes look like…
Now if you would feed them cookies for breakfast, THEN show them a movie and give them popcorn, THAT might help in the bumping up of your application to the top of the pile….not that I would know anything about that…
Heck, I *wish* I could bribe The Girl into sitting in one spot and watching a movie for 45 minutes! But hey, we all have days like that. I’ve been having to do a lot of work lately, and that means pushing Nadia to the side a bit. I feel guilty for it, but you gotta do what ya gotta do! Oh, and they look pretty happy about doing the dishes!
This is just too cute.
My boy always begs to help clean and do chores – if you give him a choice between free playtime or cleaning the windows – he picks the windows… LOL.
