Well, so much for starting the Harry Potter books when Em was 10 or so…and slowly working through them. Like one book per year.
We just finished #4 tonight and the MINUTE Jamie turned the last page there was great discussion about when we could start book #5…and see the fourth movie. (Mama’s rule…have to read the book before you can see the movie.)
Potter mania has overtaken our lil’ girls. Addie, too. Today she didn’t have any homework so she created her own little HP book.
Yeah, I don’t think there will be any holding them off of the last three books….
yeah, i have the same problem here. ellie (7) is begging to read them. technically she can because she reads way above her grade level, but i was concerned about the content because the later ones can be a bit scary. we finally decided we would read them after she turned 8 and would start on my birthday (which happens to be harry’s birthday) then watch each movie after the book was done. and if she reads harry potter like she did the little house on the prairie books we will fly through them!
That is awesome that she is loving the books so much. It makes me so happy when my kids get excited about reading.
I love what a free spirit Addie is, she don’t need no stinkin’ ruls abot speeling
Love to you
