I’m a little late on this one, and the only reason I even have a post today is that I found these pics of a few projects I did right before we left on vacation and so I actually have something to put up!
First up, we needed some more supercapes for two little guys.
I went with the ol’ standby – royal blue with red. I love how sharp the capes look.
Next, I had another oldie but goodie pillowcase dress that had a beautiful crocheted trim at the bottom, but otherwise was kind of plain. So I added an owl to it to “cute-en” it up.
And since it was for a little Lucie, we put a little “L” on it too…so she would know it was hers.
This week I’m concentrating on getting some t-shirts done for our PTA board and by goodness…I’m going to finish my June birthdays! Happy Crafting.
Look at you….coming right off of vacation with crafty goodness to share. My sewing machine has only been used to repair a couple of torn seams and to sew on Daisy Scout patches. Maybe soon I will get the crafty bug again.
I love the pillowcase dress! Sarah has several that my sister’s mother-in-made that are hand me downs. However, I hate the way the arms fit her but I see you cut little 1/2 circles for the arms and her’s aren’t like that. Oh well, she still thinks she’s something special in them and that’s all the matters.
A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E owl….love it!
Oh that owl is gorgeous. I love how the yellow ribbons tie in with the yellow trim too. Speaking of superhero capes (VERY smart btw) I have been working on the school musical ‘Man of Steel’ so I have a little something to share.
