She’s still here!

Maybe Jif needs a spokesmodel? They would be hard-pressed to find a cuter one than this…

I realized that we had a lot of posts about Em and her doings this past week, but not much about Ad. She is still being her cute little self. And I do think she is very happy to have her sister’s full attention back.

We did take a trip to the doctor’s office today. I suspected that she may have an ear infection with her little hysterics in the the middle of the night. Apparently she may have had the hand-foot-mouth disease (hoof and mouth disease?). The little blister on her tongue last week was evidently not caused from her trauma of falling and hitting her mouth on the table, but rather from this crazy virus. The doctor said she may have had some blisters in her throat – which would have caused the loss of appetite and screaming. My God, the screaming!

The poor thing. At any rate, I think she is recovering and feeling better. And we are working on getting back to “normal” for a few days…until the next round of chaos begins!

  1. too cute. Shealyn just saw it and said “uh-oh Addie’s in the peanut butter” I remember eating it by the spoonfuls myself as a little girl. Now if she learns how YUMMY it is with chocolate. And I agree, how could JIF resist those curls?

  2. It is hand foot and mouth. Also called Coxsackie. My husband just laughs anytime he hears of that word. It was one of those little childhood diseases that would spread like wildfire in the day care where I worked. Some children would get horrible blisters all inside their mouths and throats, and also on the palms of their hands and soles of their feel. Ouch! Nothing you can really do but let it run it’s course. Glad it sounds like Addie had a mild case!

  3. Care, seems I remember Em having it as well when she was that age or a little older. Did she?

  4. Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. My curly-haired cherub is doing MUCH better today.

Em did have this about the same age, too! Good memory, Kimmer!!
