Yellow Submarine – Best Shot Monday

This week’s Best Shot Monday actually has a little series of pics that go along with it. J. has been playing his ukelele for the girls, their two favorite songs are Yellow Submarine and All My Lovin’. Addie yells “bubmareeen! bubmareeen!” to make J. sing it for her.

On Saturday, J. was playing on the floor in our living room and the sun was pouring through the window, and it hit him just like a spotlight. It was really beautiful, as was the little moment between A. and Daddy. This is my favorite photo – with a few others below to tell the rest of the story.

Then Ad decided she and kitty would help Daddy play.

And finally, A. gets a turn to try it.

  1. Great moment. You are such an amazing photographer. I need a good camera…and some lessons…and a poke with a cattle prod when one of these moments is happening…

    Yeah, that should do it.

  2. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that first picture with the 2 of them looking so intently at each other! Thank God you have such a knack with that camera — think how much we would all miss otherwise!

    Love to all of you,

    Aunt Vicki

  3. Ahh…the love between a daddy and daughter. I remember a few of those awe struck moments with dad and his guitar. It was so great to have him play for us. Great memories to hold on to forever. Awesome pics too! A.’s hair is getting so long.

  4. These are so sweet. And hey, they’ve got a very effective, perfect diagonal (the line of the instrument)…see, you didn’t even see it but it’s there and it’s wonderful!
    Great series, what a daddy!
