Crafty Tuesday

It has been all sewing…all the time for the past week around here. So I’ll make this extremely quick, and I can get back to it.

Excuse the photos, of course, I just took them and they are horrible quality and flashy. Well, like I tell the girls, “you get what you get and you don’t have a fit!”

Last week’s pillowcases are this week’s pillowcase dresses ready for the boutique this weekend.

Well…most of them, there is a stack over here that are in various stages of production, but by this weekend we will have probably close to 3 dozen dresses.

We are also working on some other iPhone holders and aprons too…basically we are just getting what we can done, and going with it. We found out that this boutique is MUCH larger and a MUCH bigger deal than we thought. Soooo…there is that. But like I said, we are just going to get what we can done.

Some other things I worked on this week. J.’s old sweater has become a new bag for me – which I took all over Disneyland and LOVE. (The outside is J.’s sweater, obviously. He doesn’t wear crazy bird print sweaters.)

Someone else likes it, too. (And she is sporting ‘hair by Addie’ today. Hmm, yeah.)

She also likes the apron we made for her friend Emma.

I have a few extra of these cupcake tea towels that I am going to make into aprons, too.

What crafty goodness do you all have for me today? I will need a sewing break soon, I’m certain.

  1. Oh where to start….I LOVE it all. The purse is magnificent and the apron is so, so cute. Then all of those pillowcase dresses. Wow. You were once again one busy mama this week. Good luck at the craft fair.

  2. Wow, you have been SUPER busy! Those dresses are all adorable and I bet you will sell a bunch at that craft show. That apron is adorable, too. Great job on everything!

Sadly I didn’t get to any sewing this past week. I imagine I will have a few things next week as Anya has another birthday party to go to on Sunday. I set a precedent, so I should probably make another dress for another birthday girl. 🙂

  3. Wow – awesome stuff!! I wish you still lived nearby so some sewing lessons could happen! 🙂

Good luck at the craft fair! Since it’s a big deal – hopefully you will sell out!! Maybe take along some stuff that belongs to your girls as samples. In the event you sell out, you could take orders based off those samples. Just a thought…..although maybe you don’t want to have to fill a bazillion orders right before Christmas!

Congrats to J on the new job – quite exciting! Does this mean he is home with the family more?

    Take care!

  4. Elisa’s comment reminds me that I forgot to say congrats to J. on landing the Disney job. From your happy tone I’m assuming this is a really good thing. 🙂

The dresses, oy vey. How doest thou sew so much?! The apron, the “Addy hair”, all delightful. 🙂 And the bag. Do you have a pattern or did you just wing it? I so need one of those!

  5. That is a LOT of dresses! And a lot of other stuff, too. My goodness, every time I think you’ve raised the bar as far as it can go, you go and surpass it again! You are amazing, Carrie!
