Well, let me just say that I have only been crafty out of necessity this past week.
Addie HAD to wear a dress that was a good two inches too short to be wearing out in public. So I rounded up all of her old holey or grass-stained leggings and chopped and hemmed them. Voila. Five new pairs of under-skirt shorts. She is very happy.
Jamie HAS about three more pair of pants that need to be hemmed, so they are next up on my sewing table.
Emma’s old bear NEEDS a new nose. She so very sweetly decided to give her “extra” bear to her best friend Audrey so they could have friendship bears.
And she graciously decided to keep her original bear (from Aunt Meesh) which is a little worse for wear and has lost his nose somewhere along the way. So new nose for bear. And the “extra bear” has a new home with Aud.
And most of last week was spent preparing for the little grown-up tea party we had over the weekend to honor my new sister-in-law, (to be), JB!
We were going for an Anthropology-esque garden tea party. And I think we got pretty close. At any rate is was a very fun afternoon with our favorite Mary!
I really hope to tackle my project pile this week. Any inspirations for me?
That table is BEAUTIFUL!! Another one of your talents that has remained hidden until now. I am sure the party was a huge success — way to go!
Wow. Your table looks incredible. You definitely achieved that Anthropology look. Eventhough it’s not quite as creative, necessity sewing is fun too. Especially when you get to check things off your to-do list! I have a little craftiness up today.
You table was beautiful!! I am glad you are back.
We leave for Mich. tomorrow! I will wave to your family while driving! I hear that their weather has been fantastic this summer- I hope we see it too.
Soon fun.
The setting is beautiful. I am sure she felt welcomed
How sweet of Emma to give her friend the bear!
I want to come to your parties, I long for grown-up parties now a days!

And what a gorgeous spread for the wedding shower! So elegant and incredibly beautiful. Once again, I am amazed at all you do with such a busy schedule!
Why is it that every post starts with “so beautiful”…I’m so thankful that Friendship Bear day was a day that we could see Audrey’s face! Wonderful pics of the shower, absolutely gorgeous.
