Crafty Tuesday

I had very good intentions of using some of our unscheduled weekend for tackling my ever-growing mountain of fabric that is beckoning me, begging me to create some new stuff. But instead, we did nothing. It was wonderful, but doesn’t give me much to show-off today.

I did put together an art purse for one of Em’s friends last week. I am loving these little bags, Jen! Thanks so much for putting the pattern out.

I actually made this one a little bigger than the ones I made for Em and Ad.

I wanted to put a bigger tablet inside – and markers and stickers. Avery really liked it and her Mom asked me to make some aprons for her girls, so it was a success I think.

And that is all I have to throw out today. But before I go…a few inspirational birthday gifts I got last week. Check this out…

Yes, that is the back of my iPhone. HOW cool is that? My friend Vic “borrowed” a photo from me and had the skin made from Gelaskins.  I love seeing my babies every time I pull out my phone.

Emmy picked out this for my birthday…

Yeah, I think she is telling me something. Our oven has been on non-stop for the past week and looks like it will be on most of this week, too. Might have to try out a cupcake or two in there somewhere.

And Addie picked out this one…

God love those girls. They know what their Mama likes. This book has…well 101 projects that I can’t wait to try!

What sort of projects did you try this week?

  1. The skin is the COOLEST thing ever! As if the iPhone itself wasn’t irresistible I can see now why you’d want to have it handy to glimpse those cutie-pies!

The bag is adorable…is the pattern online? Quite an undertaking for a non-seamstress, but a girl can dream and be inspired, right?! :) I’m sure it was a hit, as will the aprons be too!

Thanks for sharing the craftiness that comes so naturally to you! :)

  2. Those gifts from your girlies look like you went and picked them out yourself! A tribute to the time you spend with them and how they know your heart to be sure!

That bag is too, too cute! What little girl wouldn’t love that?!

I totally agree with Amanda about the “craftiness that comes so naturally to you”! You are one gifted lady!

  3. I love how the bigger art purse turned out. You are cranking those things out now. That skin for your iphone is awesome. So, so cool. I have been eyeing that One Yard Wonders book. I might just ask for it for my birthday too. Looks like your girls definitely know you well.

  4. What a great gift for the little girl. :) I still need to make those up for my kids for church. Now that Sunday school is over they need some distraction that doesn’t involve horseplay and talking loud in church. ;)

Wonderful gifts for you, too! Love the iPhone skin – so cool what great products are out there these days. :)

  5. E and A picked out the perfect gifts for you! I might have to check out that cupcake book, I don’t have time to sew but I do to eat! Glad you like the phone skin, I’m thinking about getting one for myself my my ipod touch.

  6. The girls really do know you!! Those are some great gifts for Crafty Carrie. And the iPhone skin with your babies – SWEET! I just love the fabric for the art purse, too.
