Crafty Tuesday

I can barely keep my eyes open tonight. It was a very short, whirlwind weekend but totally worth it. I’ll be back to post photos and fun stuff from the SuperBowl, but first I need some serious sleep.

And also to show what I have for CT today. I made two bags last week…for me! I wanted a new laptop bag, so I made up this…

…and used it over the weekend. It worked really well. And I love the cool flower fabric.

I also made a little bag that I could put my camera in, with a pocket for my phone and cash. I needed something that protected it a little bit, (more than throwing it in a purse) but isn’t as bulky as my camera bag. So, a smaller little messenger bag type thing…

I also used it this weekend at the SuperBowl. It worked out well and even had some extra room for my tailgate loot. I padded it with a fleece interfacing so that it does a decent job of protecting my camera, too.

I can’t promise that I’ll be back tomorrow to look at everyone’s crafty goodness, I am already feeling behind and so very tired this week. But I’ll catch up, so make sure to leave your goodies!

    Glad to hear you had a great time! I bet you are super tired after all that excitement and being such a short time. Your bags are really nice, too. Great job on them!

    I love, love, love the laptop bag! If Steve hadn’t destroyed my laptop by falling asleep while eating a bowl of ice cream while surfing the internet and letting the melted ice cream run into the laptop, I would hire you to make one for me.

    That laptop bag is SO cute!!! I love that fabric. The camera bag is adorable too. Looks like we were on the same page this week. I hope you get some rest today and I am glad you had a great time!!!

    Hi! I’m friends with Christina and have decided to do a crafty Tuesday as well! Great idea. I LOVE these bags. I wish I had a sewing machine because I would love something like this for my camera. What I really need is a cool camera strap that I can wear across my body and still let me use the camera. Any suggestions?

    So glad you guys had fun for your big weekend! yeah! Love both these bags – especially that super fun floral print. and fleece interfacing? I (in my inifinate knowledge of all things sewing – HA!) hadn’t seen that, but it sounds very useful! Will have to find some.

    Wow those look great! Sling bags can be used for so many things.
