Sometimes being busy is such a mixed blessing.
I have found that I really am far more organized and productive when I have a million things to do each day. And then, as I fall into bed each night, barely able to turn the light out before I pass out, I feel that rush of satisfaction as I mentally check off all my completions for the day, and it is just very fulfilling.
But the craziness also rarely leaves a free moment for those things I really love to do like running, crafting, chasing the girls around a park, or taking photos. I did not pick up my camera once this past week. Not once. I have vowed to make that not the case this coming week.
I did find this little beauty from a few weeks ago. I was thinking I would use it and finally change my blog header, but after our beautiful fall weekend, I realized this photo just isn’t going to work. A little too summery even by California standards.
So I am off to enjoy the fall weather and maybe shoot some new photos of the girls. Another thing that being busy brings is a renewed appreciation for having some down time. It is always a precarious balance.
We all understand completely. I love that the girls are all wet in that picture. So sweet.
Hi Bean, Beautiful picture of the girls.
Love ya
Emma looks so grown up in this picture! Great shot…as always.
Oh so true. I am the same way. I am so much more productive when I am busy. This photo may not be right for the header, but it needs to go in a frame and on the wall. I love it!!!
I hear ya! I have a to-do list a mile long to get ready for our trip and I love crossing things off and feeling so productive. I work well under pressure
That is such a sweet shot of the girls…this weather has been so fabulous, I have been inspired to get the camera out more!
It may be summery, but it’s a gorgeous photo nonetheless. I look forward to your fall pics.
Good for you and your industry – but I am not feeling that way at ALL right now! Would you please lend me some of your get-er-done attitude?
