We merely “live” all week for the promise of the weekend. Those glorious two days when Daddy will be home and we can all be together.
Now that the holidays have hit and our weekends (and all the days in between) have become so frantic and filled, it is so very important to kick back and just enjoy being. Together.
And just to prove to J. that I am not part-vampire, I turned the remote over to him and came out from behind the camera. It isn’t a fantastic shot, but it is my favorite shot of us all hanging together.

The last shot is my favorite. It’s hard to find time during the hectic Holidays (which ironically are suppose to bring families together) to just hang out. Great captures Carrie and tell J he did a good job too.

The whole family shot is my favorite – I love it! I think that in the first shot they look like Thing 1 and Thing 2, right out of Cat in the Hat (although hopefully without the destruction!)
I LOVE that last shot!! Love love. And there is nothing like when Daddy comes home. Even when he’s gone just for the day. When I come home, the girls say something like, “Momma, I’m hungry” or “where’s my notebook that you put away yesterday?”
Yeah, that last shot is awesome!! The ones with the whole family are the ones the kids will cherish when they get older. I feel the same way. We live for the weekends too.
