If Tim Gunn* were here and took a wee peek at my Halloween costumes he would place his chin in his hand, purse his lips and shake his head while saying, “This worries me…”
Quite frankly, the costumes – or rather the pieces of costumes spread from my dining room to my living room and back again – “worrries” me as well. And I have two days…TWO DAYS! How in the world did that happen?
Gah…so no photos this week. I’m off to find me a seamripper and to “make it work.”
*Tim Gunn is the mentor on Project Runway – the television delight that Wendy and Jeff turned me on to – for those of you not “in the know.”
oh, i’m sure that everything will come together in time and the costumes will be beautiful!
i got pictures of the costume i made sprout and pictures of the kids IN the costumes up if you want to check them out.
LOL…well, good thing Tim Gunn isn’t there! If I lived close to you, Carrie, I would hop on over and help you out. As it is, I have to make a Mei Tai and a pirate vest for Brian by the weekend. *sigh* Why does it always have to be last minute??
I actually did a lot of sewing this weekend, but what I have to show today is stuff I made for Anya a few weeks ago. I need to get some action shots yet of the outfits I made for Kai and Anya. Kai was very happy to have some mama made clothes – he wore one outfit yesterday and one today. It’s nice to be appreciated.
Oh dear! I have confidence you will get it figured out in time! We are all rooting for you.
And if it comes to it….Ariel costume, Party City, on sale for $12 last week.
Yah. I bought mine.
(Wow Stacy’s making a Mei Tai AND a pirate vest for Brian? I want to see that one!) Just kidding. But a Mei Tai is still a big [long] undertaking.
Someday I’ll find the power cord to my sewing machine [that is my friend will find it] and then we’ll finally see what I’m made of!
