Yesterday and today we had a much easier time at school. She also told me this morning, &#8220;I like school now, Mama! I made a friend.&#8221; Of course when I asked her friend&#8217;s name she said, &#8220;Mmmm&#8230;I dunno? I don&#8217;t call her name.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Okay, then. I&#8217;m hoping that the three-day weekend won&#8217;t mess with our progress too badly.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"DSC_0172-5.jpg by Voris, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/voris\/4952877931\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4103\/4952877931_66c85dc571_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0172-5.jpg\" width=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mmmm&#8230;three-day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>A few other things I&#8217;m happy for on this fine Friday:<\/p>\n<p>-After being in NYC all week, Daddy comes home to us today.<br \/>\n-Generous neighbors and the use of their pool this weekend. (Which looks to be the hottest weekend of the year!)<br \/>\n-Pumpkin scones have returned to Starbucks.<br \/>\n-A fresh new haircut. (ADORE it, Diane&#8230;thanks!)<br \/>\n-A clean house.<br \/>\n-Getting projects off of my plate.<br \/>\n-New curtains.<br \/>\n-A great workout.<br \/>\n-Beach possibilities.<br \/>\n-Did I mention Daddy coming home?<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"DSC_0117-5.jpg by Voris, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/voris\/4953470748\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4137\/4953470748_30bbb7480b_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0117-5.jpg\" width=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yeah, we are really excited about that one.
