{"id":1471,"date":"2009-03-27T16:41:11","date_gmt":"2009-03-27T23:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/barelycontrolledchaos.com\/wordpress\/?p=1471"},"modified":"2009-03-27T16:41:11","modified_gmt":"2009-03-27T23:41:11","slug":"mr-pickles-makes-himself-at-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/barelycontrolledchaos.com\/wordpress\/?p=1471","title":{"rendered":"Mr. Pickles makes himself at home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have a new member of our family, his name is Mr. Pickles.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks back my friend Kate over at <a href=\"http:\/\/mypetpeeve.typepad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">My Pet Peeve<\/a> generously offered to send a Mr. Pickles to us, so the girls and I could play along with the <a href=\"http:\/\/docmaureen.blogspot.com\/2009\/02\/chicken-game-rules.html\" target=\"_blank\">Chicken Game<\/a>. I was so very excited, and then, um&#8230;promptly forgot about it.<\/p>\n<p>So today, when the mailman left a HUGE box on my doorstep with a return address I didn&#8217;t recognize, I was a bit puzzled. But imagine my surprise and pure joy when I opened it up and found not one, but TWO Mr. Pickles and he brought gifts!\u00a0 A giant stack of fabric that Kate claims has been languishing in her basement, never to be used.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"Mr. Pickles joins our family... by Voris, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/voris\/3390298121\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3032\/3390298121_2f3c0e0f22_b.jpg\" alt=\"Mr. Pickles joins our family...\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I cannot tell you how very much that made my week, Kate! Thank you so much! I have ideas for at least five of the fabrics already&#8230;fear not, they will be used, and we&#8217;ll show Mr. Pickles a good time, too.
